Mentorship

The unfortunate reality is that many children in the foster care system do not have the same family support system that other children have. This means as kids continue to age and exit the foster care system they will not have someone to celebrate holidays or life milestones with.

Becoming a mentor can change the world for foster youth as they mature into adulthood. Research shows that children who have experienced trauma can find healing by having a stable adult relationship. It is through this caring and consistent adult relationship that children can strengthen their resilience and begin to have hope for a better future.
