Workforce development is a crucial component to foster youth successfully transitioning to adulthood. Friends of Ohana’s programs offer evidence-based services and support that empower foster youth to secure stable employment, which in turn enables aged-out youth to afford housing and avoid homelessness. Foster youth become contributing members of their communities and build hope for a better future for themselves.

Life Launch: Skills for Success

Without supportive adults in their life, foster youth are often not taught basic life skills that will help guide them into a successful adulthood. Friends of Ohana's Life Launch: Skills for Success program is designed to provide comprehensive life skills and enhance foster youth’s readiness for the challenges of adulthood and the workforce. The course covers:
